You were not the only one frustrated by lack of support for the R5 in PhotoLab 3. I'm not making excuses for DXO, they should have supported that camera for P元. The reason they didn't support it before the release of PL4 is because of the timing of that camera's release. The beta testing phase for PL4 was just ending. They were preparing the final release candidate version for testing at the beginning of September in anticipation for release to the public in mid-October. I believe those two events coinciding was the reason it took a while to acquire a copy of the R5 and create a profile for it. There was no nefarious intent on their part. However, they should have retroactively added that profile to P元. Their policy at that time was to not add new cameras to previous versions of PhotoLab. RODE Stereo Videomic Pro, DXO PhotoLab 5 Elite, DXO FilmPack 6 Elite, ON1 Photo Raw 2022 However, I have no idea whether they will add R5 support retroactively to P元 My more recent understanding is that they may now be supporting the addition of new cameras in the most recent previous version going forward. I'm not ticked off with DxO, but watch this space. Sony updated two cameras, the A7RIII and the A7RIV are now A7RIIIa and A7RIVa. The only stated difference is a higher resolution rear LCD. I paid for DxO PureRAW after trialing and all has been good until I just tried to open A7RIVa files. I get "File not supported, corrupt, or already processed" error. It's probably just that the RAW file has an 'a' added so a very simple fix if so. One has too many and the other not enough I'm a little tired of updating both Topaz Denoise AI and Sharpen AI every two days.
UPGRADE DXO FILMPACK 5 UPGRADE
I think if I upgrade one that carries to the other but I'm not sure. Either way to upgrade from P元 to PL4 will be about $70. When PL5 comes out this November I now know to wait until the Black Friday sale. I suspect PureRaw will have an upgrade as well.

#NEW FEATURES IN DXO FILMPACK 5 REVIEW UPGRADE# Both will offer Super Duper Deep PrimeĭXO Prime was good and Deep Prime is as good if not better. I have not compared the two but I'm trialling PL4. It does provide good "consistent" results when I need it for very high ISO's.
